Varun Dhawan To Be The Lead Of Citadel in India; Web Series To Go On Floors In January 2023

The local original spy series will begin filming in January, 2023. Sita R. Menon has written it besides Raj & DK. It marks Varun’s streaming debut. D2R Films, and Amazon Studios, with AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes and David Weil (Hunters) will supervise production on the Indian Original and all series within the global Citadel universe. Its executive producers are Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK under their banner D2R Films.

Varun Dhawan spoke on his streaming debut with Prime Video’s untitled Citadel series based out of India and said, “Prime Video is like home to me, and I am thrilled to begin this journey in the streaming space with them.
