Ahead of Christmas and New Year, the Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise shared a message on Sunday, December 18, 2022 for his fans.
He took to social media to wish his fans happy and safe holidays by sharing a video clip doing a daredevil stunt in South Africa. The actor, 60, has been filming. Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One and Two after giving a blockbuster like Top Gun : Maverick.
In the video, Cruise said, “Hey everyone, Here we are over stunning South Africa, where we’re filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts one and two. And I didn’t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theaters and thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick.”
Then the camera panned to Top Gun: Maverick screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, who is sitting nervously next to Cruise, reminded Cruise that they need to get the shot for the film so he should keep his speech shor. “Listen, we really gotta roll, we gotta get the shot,” McQuarrie, 54, said.
Cruise then jumped and asked nonchalantly “Where was I?”
“Oh yeah. Thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick, and thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honour of a lifetime,” he continued.
He added, “I’m running out of altitude, so I have to get back to work. We have to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday; we’ll see you at the movies.”
While Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will release on July 14, 2023, the Part Two will hit theaters on June 28, 2024.
