Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Freddy stars Kartik Aaryan, Alaya F, Jennifer Piccinato. It showcases the blur lines between love and obsession in this romantic thriller with surprising twists and sharp turns. It released on Disney plus hotstar on December 2.
The latest bollywood news is that Freddy’s producer Jay revealed that with the positive response, the movie’s sequel is likely. For him, a thriller can’t be imagined without Kartik. The second part will focus on Freddy’s life as per him.
“That open-ended bit [enables us] to look at a sequel, which is definitely on the cards. I have told the writers to work on it. When we get a good story, we’ll make the sequel. The kind of love Freddy has got is overwhelming. People, who lost touch with me, have messaged me after watching it,” Mid-day quoted Jay as saying.
“His motivation [to kill] is based on love. The second part can be darker, and more twisted. We would like to make a few more [editions] now that the movie is character-led,” he said. When asked whether Ghosh will resume behind the camera, he stated, “We have not taken that call yet.”
