‘Samantha Trolled For Divorce, Deepika For Clothes,’ Divya Spandana Tweet Over Mysogny Amid Pathaan Row
After the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer song Besharam Rang from Pathaan, netizens were quick to give fashion sense to Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone.
Amidst the criticism of song and actress costumes, Former social media head of the Congress and actor Divya Spandana ‘Ramya’ came forward in support of female actors. She tweeted on the ongoing debate and torn into Indian misogyny calling out people trolling women.
Her tweet reads, “Samantha trolled for her divorce, Sai Pallavi for her opinion, Rashmika for her separation, Deepika for her clothes and many, many other women for pretty much EVERYTHING. Freedom of choice is our basic right. Women are the embodiment of Maa Durga -misogony is an evil we must fight.”

In an earlier interview with NDTV, she said, “They have a problem with women wearing hijab. They have a problem with women wearing bikini. What they are trying to do…what is called a new, developed India these days is very scary. I fear where it will take all of us in the times to come.”

Her tweet comes days after BoycottPathaan started trending on social media following the release of Besharam Rang. Seeing Deepika in a bikini and stylish beach-wear, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra took to his Twitter handel and asked makers to correct the visuals and costumes of the song or else he will have to rethink about Pathaan releasing in MP.
