Naseeruddin Shah, 72, is known for Masoom, Chamatkar, Krrish, Welcome Back, A Wednesday and others. He has received many awards in his career, comprising three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards and the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
The latest bollywood news is that Naseeruddin will play Akbar in an upcoming series ‘Taj’. He was last seen in Tusshar Kapoor starrer Maarich and this role could strengthen his professional career as many believe.
“It’s a series called TAJ. It is about Akbar and the battle of succession among his sons. I’m playing Akbar, and not at all like Papaji (Prithviraj Kapoor in Mughal-e-Azam)’s version!,” Bollywood Hungama quoted Naseeruddin Shah as saying.
