Raja Babu starred Govinda as an illiterate man, cared by his mother, who comes in love with the beautiful and educated Karishma Kapoor’s charcter girl. The 1994 film received large prominence because of its songs like ‘Mere Dil Na Todo’, ‘Ui Amma Ui Amma’, and ‘Sarkaiye Lo Khatiya’ which remain huge chartbusters of the era.
The latest bollywood news is that Ranveer requested his friend Varun to not do a remake of Raja Babu if he was given the role as per Pinkvilla. Ranveer is supposedly a fan of Govinda and wanted himself to star in the movie. Ranveer has different awards and is quite popular for Simmba and Padmaavat.
Ranveer stated, “Judwaa is another favourite film of mine alongside Raja Babu. I have seen these movies maximum number of times. And what music! Varun (Dhawan) keeps doing these movies man, and I keep telling him, ‘Kuch Bhi Karna, Raja Babu maat karna’ (I want to do it).”
Meanwhile, Ranveer will next be seen in Cirkus. Directed by Rohit Shetty, it stars Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and others as well. It will hit the big screen on December 23, 2022.
