Here’s Why Rohit Shetty Feels Casting Ranveer Singh And Arjun Kapoor Is The Best Choice For Govinda Starrer Aankhen Remake

Ahead of the release of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming comedy film Cirkus, the crew members went to a panel discussion for the movie promotion. Many videos from the event went viral on social media. One of them is when Ranveer Singh was explaining that he and Arjun Kapoor are the perfect choice for the ‘Aankhen’ remake because they are brothers in real life.

The close bond that Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor share is not hidden from anyone. During the promotions of their first release Gunday, the duo often shared about their common interests like love for cinema, Govinda films, and quintessential 90s Bollywood songs.

Now, as both of them are keen on another collaboration, director Rohit Shetty revealed that he wants to remake the 1993 action-comedy film ‘Aankhen’ in which he will cast Ranveer and Arjun in place of Govinda and Chunky Pandey.

Rohit explained the reason behind it during an interview with Pinkvilla, he said, “Ranveer can play Govinda’s character, Arjun Kapoor could be Chunky Pandey and Paresh Bhai (Paresh Rawal) would be perfect for Kader Khan In-fact, the Kader Khan track could be done by Govinda, it would be iconic. Imagine, both Govinda and Ranveer in a double role, with Arjun Kapoor.”

“Copy right hamare pass hai, koi jaake rights maat khareedna (We have the copy right. Please don’t try to purchase the rights of the film).” On the other hand, agreeing with his idea, Ranveer Singh also went on elaborate why he thinks it is a perfect idea. “You won’t believe, I just got a message from Arjun today. And this would be a great cast because Arjun and I are brothers in real life too,” he further added while talking about the copyright thing.

Meanwhile, Cirkus which features Ranveer Singh in a double role will hit the theaters on December 23. Besides him, the film also features Deepika Padukone, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ajay Devgan in pivotal roles.
