Drishyam 2 released on November 18th. The Ajay Devgn starrer has been doing well at the ticket window as it went on to collect around 20.5-21 crores on its 2nd day. According to a report in Box Office India, the film has also had the third-best opening day post-pandemic after Brahmastra and Sooryavanshi.
For a film that opened that so well on Friday, the growth is actually tremendous on Saturday. Reportedly, the collections in Gujarat and Saurashtra look up more than the national average collection. We are yet to see the kind of business it performs on Monday to understand how well the film sustains at the box office.

The fantastic growth on Saturday has come from both North and East regions, which would have been the tougher markets to tap in as the first part of Drishaym didn’t do well in these places. Cities like Rajasthan and Chandigarh are also showing huge jumps on Saturday which is rare. One can expect a 25-30% jump in sales on Sunday.
With the second day, the film has manages to collect nearly 36 crores and hence, the first weekend collections can stand up to 60 crore. The film is a huge boost to the Hindi film industry.
