After VHP, MP Home Minister, Muslim Board Objects To Pathaan For Hurting Religious Sentiments; MP Ulema Board Says, ‘We Will Not Allow This Film To Be Released’
Some right-wing members and Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra reportedly said that Deepika’s costume being used in Besharam Rang from Pathaan should be corrected or deleted. He reportedly theatened to ban the film in the state. The same has been said by Muslim Religious Board who demands to not release the film. Protests erupted in Indore against the film and burnt the effigy of SRK.
Prakash Raj, Baahubali Producer Shobu Yarlagadda, Swara Bhaskar slammed the MP Home Minister’s remarks. The latest bollywood news is that Muslim Religious Board has accused the film of hurting sentiments. Earlier, BJP MLA Ram Kadam, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ayodha Mahant came out opposing the film and its song.
“The Pathans are one of the most respectable Muslim communities. Not just the Pathans but the entire Muslim community is being defamed in this film. The name of the film is Pathaan and women are seen performing obscene dances in it. Pathans are being portrayed wrongly in the film,” ANI quoted President of the MP Ulema Board Syed Anas as saying.
“The makers should remove the name, Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan should change the name of his character. After that, do whatever you want. But we will not allow this film to be released in India. We will fight a legal battle and also file an FIR. The sentiments of the Muslim community have been hurt by this film. We will not allow this film to be released, not just in Madhya Pradesh but across the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pathaan is set to release on January 25, 2023, which is full of drama and action which is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone in lead roles and will have John Abraham as antagonist.
